A customer handed me a $100 bill and asked me if I could fold it into something for a boy, so I folded my t-rex!

Day 37 - Reindeer
Messed around with my goat to try and make a reindeer. I will graft more points onto the antlers sometime.

Day 34 - Norman the Duck
I've been studying for finals and haven't had time to doodle. This is an old design of mine that is also my favorite.
The model is based on my pet duck Norman.

Day 32- Early drafts/failures
I've been doing this blog for just over a month now, so I thought I'd show some stuff that didn't make it on here.

Day 31- Rose with leaf and stem
I used part of the bill to fold a kawasaki rose, and the rest to make the leaf and stem. Inspired by Brian Chan's one sheet rose model. And yes, this is one uncut dollar bill :)

Day 28 - Lovebirds
Still a work in progress, but I didn't want to go another day without posting a doodle.
The heart shape is a little more obvious on the back side.

Day 27 - Bulldog Diagrams
Diagrams here. I've been busy studying all day, no time to doodle :(
Post pictures on my facebook page if you fold it!

Day 26 - George Washington the Dalek
I was inspired to make this after watching the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special and seeing this one on flickr.

Day 21 - Bell and Vase
Today I was messing around with the program OriRevo trying to make some 3d shapes. Dollars are not an ideal material for this kind of folding, but here is what I ended up with.
I think it might be cute to make some flowers to put in the vase, a future doodle maybe...

Day 20 - Mario 1up Mushroom
Tutorial coming soon. I really like using the print of the bill :) Don't forget to like my facebook page and suggest a doodle!

Day 18 - Turkey Tutorial
With Thanksgiving coming up I've gotten a ton of requests for a tutorial on my dollar turkey, so here it is! Sorry for the poor quality. If you fold it, post a picture on my facebook page!

Day 13 - Display of Doodles
I just got back from the Easy Bay origami convention and didn't have time to create a new doodle for today :/ Instead, here is a picture of my display at the convention! All models were designed and folded by me.

Day 12 - Snake
I had a very busy day at the East Bay origami convention, not a lot of time to spend on my doodle...

Day 11 - Beth's Frog on Lily Pad
I folded Beth Johnson's frog (which I absolutely adore) a couple days ago and it inspired me to make this. The shaping of the frog is very similar to hers :)
The print on the bill seems to be too busy for this model, so I also tried to fold this model from a dollar sized sheet of kami.
Don't forget to like me on facebook and comment with doodle suggestions!
Day 10 - Tyrannosaurus Rex
This is another model I've been wanting to create for quite a while now. Like & comment on my Facebook page if you have a doodle suggestion!

Day 9 - Pikachu
I've been wanting to do a pokemon for ages, and after getting a few requests for it on my facebook page I decided to finally do one!

Day 8 - Turkey
Due to homework, I don't have as much time as I would like to work on this today. I will revisit this doodle sometime soon. Today's design was suggested by Patsy Wang-Iverson on my Facebook page. If you have a doodle suggestion, like my Facebook page and post it there!

Day 7 - Mermaid
I'm fairly happy with how the first couple drafts came out. This type of tail was created and shown to me by my friend Ramsay Cowlishaw.
I tried adding scales on the second draft.

Day 6 - Mustache
My new coworker requested I make a mustache, so here it is! This is simple enough that hopefully I'll be able to make diagrams and post them within the next few weeks :)

Day 5 - Lincoln and dog
I actually did this doodle a month or two ago at work. Today someone reposted it on a popular website without giving me credit :( I thought I'd share it here. The instructions for the head can be found here, the body is just standard box pleating, and the the dog is my bulldog design(diagrams for it will be published in OUSA's "The Fold" in the near future).

Day 4 - Lizard
Today's doodle was suggested by my friend James. I'll revisit this design at some point and make a better one. Comment if you have a suggestion for a future doodle!

Day 3 - Hermit Crab
After seeing so many of Brian Chan's 3d printed crabs on my facebook feed recently I was inspired to doodle a crab. I didn't want to fold 8 legs so I decided to do a hermit crab, since you often don't see all of their legs.

Day 2 - Manta Ray
The idea for this came to me right before I left for school this morning. It was all I could think about during my math test! I was able to whip out a quick prototype between classes and then fold a cleaner doodle when I got home.

Day 1 - Flying Pig
I was originally trying to make a chameleon, which then turned into a rabbit with extra paper. The excess paper seemed to be a good size for wings, but a winged rabbit wouldn't make much sense. I shortened the ears and added a snout to end up with this.
Introduction
My name is Janessa Munt and I'm an aspiring origami artist. I am eighteen years old and have been folding for over ten years now. About a year ago I realized I enjoy folding with money and I started to design my own $ models. In an attempt to better my designing ability I am challenging myself to doodle something new every day and post it here. A few months from now I plan to go back and choose my best doodles to finalize and then (hopefully) publish a book of their diagrams.
